What We'll Cover
SEO FOR BEGINNERS COURSE OVERVIEW
Across six sessions, here's what you'll learn, explore and leave with:
Introduction to Copywriting
SEO is everywhere, and once you understand how it works, you'll never read a Google result, a blog post or a product page the same way again.
In this opening session, you'll explore what SEO is, how search engines crawl, index and rank content, and why organic search matters for anyone who wants to be found online. You'll leave with a clear foundation to build everything else on.
Finding Your Words
Before you write a single keyword, you need to know what your audience is searching for.
In this session, you'll learn how to find, evaluate and prioritise keywords that connect your content to real people with real intentions that match your desired result. You'll explore the difference between search volume and search relevance, and leave with a keyword research process you can put into use immediately.
Prioritising People and Algorithms
Good SEO copy has to do two things at once - satisfy a search engine and keep a person's attention.
In this session, you'll learn how to structure content, use keywords naturally, write metadata that earns clicks, and build pages that work for both audiences without sacrificing your voice.
Laying the Foundations for Technical SEO
Rankings aren't just about the words that you write.
Behind every well-performing page is a set of technical decisions that search engines reward. In this session, you'll learn the foundations of page structure, internal linking, site speed, mobile optimisation and the technical elements that affect your visibility online. No coding knowledge required, just clarity about what matters and why.
Building Authority: Links and Trust
Search engines don't just look at what you say, they look at who vouches for you.
In this session, you'll explore how authority is build online, what backlinks are and how to earn them, and why consistency and credibility compound over time. You'll leave with a clear picture of how to grow your presence sustainably.
Measuring What Matters
Search Engine Optimisation without measurement is just guesswork.
In the final session of SEO for Beginners, you'll learn how to use industry-standard tools to track your performance, understand your data, identify what's working and make informed decisions about where to focus your efforts next.
The Final Project
Week by week, you'll develop a complete SEO strategy for a real website or project of your choosing, from keyword research through to a content and optimisation plan.
1:1 Session
At the end of this SEO course, you'll be offered a 1:1 session to discuss your final project, talk through anything you're finding challenging, and map out your next steps with support.
